I was trying to fake up a sit-stand workstation for my home office, and got attracted to this laptop/monitor stand because its vertical reach looked to be a few inches more than the competition from some of the "ergo" brands. It can be tough to exactly figure the reach exactly, because you'd need to combine the movement of the arm, the height of the pole, and the tiltability of the laptop/notebook plate.The arm and pole are sturdy. Everything important seems to be made out of metal, and the clamp is broad and strong. The arm has adjustable spring tension to help you adjust arm height given a load. The laptop/tablet plate has some padded hand-adjustable clips that are sufficient for holding a laptop or tablet under office conditions. For a more secure attachment you might be able to put some of your own hardware through the ventilation holes.All in all, this is working well. Just wish it could have been cheaper.
