Falls off the finIt doesn’t reales my phone sometimes so I have to pry it open and it also does have great range to adjust your phoneThis is a really sturdy easy to use phone holder. I have quite a large case on my iPhone and it grips it easily without the worry of it falling off.We have a slightly older car so needed something to old up our phone which we use for GPS. This does the trick perfectly!Works well for my iPhone. It was easy to place and my phone doesn’t fall. The only thing I didn’t like is that it blocks the AC vent. Other than that works well especially while travelingI was looking for a cell phone mount for my 1996 Toyota Corolla, a car with air vents oriented to pivot along a horizontal axis and the center vents are positioned right over the radio. I selected the F2B mount by Dudao that has a spring-loaded clamping mechanism activated by the button in the middle of the platform. The locking mechanism intrigued me and the F2B platform is narrower than the mount I'd been using. I also was interested in seeing if the vent mounting clip would be more secure due to the "cross-lock buckle" that'd interlock around the vent louver.The F2B cell phone platform works really well. Placing the phone on top of the button activates the spring retention mechanism and locks down. The bottom fork is manually adjusted in or out with several ridges that it clicks into. When you want to release the phone, there are separate arms that you squeeze together to push against the locking springs and separate the side clips.While I'm impressed with how securely the F2B phone mounting platform is working out, I found the F2B vent-mounting clip made of molded plastic was a bit too tall to fit in the majority of the horizontal louvers, and the few it did fit caused the grate to rotate down too much. Fortunately, my old cell phone mount had a clamp (similar to the one that is included with the F12 model from Dudao) that works with my Corolla and had the 17 mm diameter ball too. I was able to come up with a solution that combined the F2B mount cell phone platform with the F12-style vent clip. With my horizontal-axis louvers and limited clearance below, I really needed the clip with additional "ears" that prevent the vent from rotating too far down.In summary, I'm happy with this phone holder platform and its spring-loaded phone grip, although I did have to use the 17 mm near-universal ball-to-vent mount of a different kit. My only knock against this kit is that I'd be telling another person with a 96 Corolla to order a F12 vent mount ball and F2B platform (two separate kits) when both are being made by the same company.Finally, something to hold my phone that won’t pop off. I’m very pleased with how well this stays put when attached to the a/c vent.I had a similar mount that I used for years. After a lot of exposure to heat, I assume that the plastic became brittle and the unit broke. I ordered this as a replacement to use with my iPhone 12 Pro Max.First, the product is easy to assemble and to adjust to suit your needs. I have a Toyota Prius that has a textured finish on the dashboard, so the only way I can mount this effectively is to attach it to the windshield. I've mounted it to extend next to the driver's-side pillar so that it has virtually no impact on my vision while driving but is still easy to see and to manipulate if necessary. I have it set up so that the mount carries the full weight of the phone... it does not rest on or touch the dash at all.My only complaint about this holder (and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars) is because of the phone release. When you sit the phone in the holder, you squeeze both side arms of the holder together to grip the phone. To remove the phone, you must press a button on the lower-right side of the base to release the grip of the arms. Because of the size of my phone, this button is actually hidden behind the phone and isn't easy to release. My prior holder had a button that extended further from the base, making it easy to tap with my thumb and to pick the phone up to go.I suspect that this holder will "hold up" well, based upon my experience so far. I've not yet decided whether I need to look for a replacement to deal with the release feature. I acknowledge that my phone is larger than most, but the seller does claim that the holder is designed to work with this phone. Based upon my experience with the release button, I probably wouldn't order this again although I have no problem recommending this product to others than have a smaller phone.
